The space will serve as a safe, welcoming space where people can come together, build meaningful connections, and strengthen the networks that support a more connected and resilient community for members of the local LGBTQ+ community in Boston and further afield.

The meetings will start on Saturday 18 July and will then run on the first and third Saturday of each month, from 10:30am for a couple of hours.

Members of the local community who’d like to attend are invited to drop in and stay as little or as long as they’d like.

Stephen Bromby, Asda Boston’s community champion, said: “We understand the need for safe places to meet up, connect with new people, and build stronger networks. So, we've launched these new LGBTQ+ coffee mornings.

"We are able to offer an air-conditioned and welcoming space in a central location, with free parking, free Wi-Fi, easy access to popular bus routes, great menu and friendly service.

"This is just another reason why the work of Asda Community Champions, alongside Asda’s charity, the Asda Foundation, remains a lifeline for many grassroots community groups and charities.

“We take our part in the local community very seriously and always try to support as many local groups as we can. We’d love to see other community groups embrace this initiative to use our free Costa space, turning tables into hubs for various activities like homework clubs, parent and baby groups, craft clubs, knit & natter groups, and book clubs, as well as local groups that aim to prevent isolation in our rural community.”
