Walk in the footsteps of Sir Joseph Banks at Revesby Estate this July
Building on the success of the previous history walk in June, on Friday 24th July, Revesby Estate will host a special Heritage Experience Day, giving visitors the chance to discover the landscape, stories and heritage connected to the acclaimed botanist, naturalist and explorer as well as the many other interesting inhabitants at Revesby through history.
Best known for accompanying Captain James Cook on the historic voyage of HMS Endeavour, Sir Joseph Banks became one of the most important scientific figures of the 18th century. His connections to Lincolnshire and the Revesby area form a fascinating part of the county's heritage.
The experience will include a guided heritage walk through the estate, with the ever-engaging and knowledge historian Adrian Gray, exploring the stories of the people, places and landscapes that helped shape Revesby.
Guests will also enjoy a summer lunch in the estate setting, providing an opportunity to continue discussions and immerse themselves in the history of the area.

The event forms part of Revesby Estate's growing programme of heritage, nature and countryside experiences designed to celebrate the estate's landscape, history and cultural significance, with profits going towards the estate's environmental, historic and community charitable objectives.
