At the March meeting, members were entertained by Roger Lord and friends with their enjoyable and skilful demonstration of the art of hand bell ringing.

They played a wide musical repertoire, which included classical, folk and music from shows.

Members were invited to have a go afterwards and those who did soon realised the high level of concentration, dedication and skill required to reach performance level.

The annual bursary was drawn, with the winner being Judith Hewis.

The competition for a bell was won by June Gaughan, with Jean Emary second and Margaret Roach third.

Winner of the flower of the month was Linda Mason, with Joan Wright second and Jean Emary third.

The next meeting will be held in the town hall on Thursday, April 7, at 7.30pm, with Connie Hurd and the Dance of the East Harim Experience.

New members and guests are always welcome. The cost for visitors is £3.50.
