Boston students set to showcase work at annual independent film festival
An annual, independent film festival showcasing work by creative media students at Boston College returns tomorrow (Thursday, June 18).
The Boston Independent Film Festival – which this year is being held for the fourth time – will be staged at Savoy cinema, in West Street, at 7.30pm.

Audience members are promised an exciting and diverse collection of films created by the next generation of filmmakers.
“Spanning a wide range of genres, styles, and voices, the programme highlights the creativity, technical skill, and storytelling ambition developed throughout the course,” a spokesman for the festival said. “From experimental shorts to polished narrative pieces, each film reflects the individuality and vision of its creator.”
The event will conclude with an awards ceremony, where a panel of industry-informed judges recognise outstanding achievements across multiple categories.
Just a handful of tickets remain. To book, visit the Savoy website.
The event, which is presented in two parts with an intermission, carries a 15 age-rating.
