Tickets selling fast for 'hilarious' Louth panto to raise money for charity

Tickets are selling fast for an annual pantomime in Louth that always delights family audiences.

Louth Community Panto Club is a not-for-profit organisation, run entirely by volunteers, which stages a show each year to raise money for a charity.

And its latest offering, described as “hilarious”, is ‘Snow White And The Ugly Sisters’, which will be performed at Brackenborough Lakes Resort’s Tennyson Suite on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, January 7, 8 and 9.

The chosen charity is Lives, the life-saving Lincolnshire organisation that sends first-responder volunteers to medical emergencies and has been serving the county for more than 25 years.

Tickets for the Saturday evening performance, which is for adults only, are already sold out. But there is also a matinee on that day at 2 pm, while tickets remain for the Thursday and Friday shows at 7 pm.

The panto club relies entirely on donations and sponsorships to fund its show and, this time around, it is on the hunt for prizes for raffles that will be held over the three days.

"If you have something to donate for one of our raffles, please get in touch,” said a spokesperson. “A bottle of fizz, a box of chocs, a toy or an unwanted gift, all would be very much appreciated.”

In the meantime, the cast are busy rehearsing their dance routines for the show, for which tickets, priced £10 (under-16s £5) can be bought by calling the box office on 07817 838765 between 9 am and 7 pm.

The spokesperson added: “Get ready for a hilarious twist on a classic fairytale, with some seriously cheeky sisters causing havoc along the way!

"This is a one-of-a-kind show, not available anywhere else!

“We've written our own script in a mash-up of two epic fairytales. This panto is set to take you on an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish, providing a fully immersive experience that will see you in the heart of the action.

“Expect an awesome soundtrack too, featuring everything from The Kings Of Leon to ‘The Greatest Showman’, Annie Lennox, U2 and ‘Bridgerton’, and everything in between!”

Tickets can also be bought from https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1991315459143?aff=oddtdtcreator or from the Off The Beaten Tracks vinyl record store on Aswell Street in Louth.
