Free online service helps Lincolnshire communities monitor local proposals

Planning applications, road closures and licensing changes across Lincolnshire can be found in one place through the Public Notice Portal.

The free service holds official announcements from councils, authorities, companies and individuals about matters which may affect local communities. Notices are an important part of public accountability, ensuring information is made available and giving residents a chance to respond before relevant deadlines. People can search by postcode, notice category or local authority, whether they want to check development proposals in their village or travel disruption on routes such as the A1, A15 or A46. Email alerts can be scheduled daily, weekly or monthly. Local notices continue to appear in Lincolnshire’s printed newspapers and on their websites. Registered news publishers also upload announcements from their print editions to the national portal. The website divides notices into eight categories. These include planning, traffic and roads, alcohol and licensing, goods vehicle licensing, probate and trustee, contracts and tenders and other statutory announcements. Almost 14,000 notices are displayed nationally at any one time, enabling users to follow decisions which might otherwise escape their attention. Visit publicnoticeportal.uk to search for notices across Lincolnshire.
