How Lincolnshire residents can keep track of road closures and traffic proposals
From rural road closures to new parking restrictions in towns, traffic decisions can have a considerable impact across Lincolnshire.
Formal public notices allow residents to learn about proposed changes and, where consultation applies, respond before decisions are finalised.
Lincolnshire County Council and other responsible authorities publish traffic management orders covering measures such as speed-limit changes, yellow lines, parking bays, one-way streets and restrictions outside schools.
Temporary notices can warn of closures for resurfacing, repairs, utility work, construction projects and special events.

Reading a notice early gives residents time to consider how a proposal may affect access, travel, parking or local businesses. Comments and objections submitted before the deadline become part of the authority’s consideration of the scheme.
The notice itself will explain the location and nature of the change, when it is expected to apply and how responses should be submitted.
Traffic notices carried by printed local newspapers are also available through the Public Notice Portal.
The free online service lets users search by postcode, inspect proposals on a map and register for email alerts.
