The best young number crunchers were put to the test at St George's Academy's annual mathematics competition.

Year six students from 14 local primary schools in teams of four had an enjoyable mathematical afternoon, with pupils being challenged by a variety of problem solving questions. Students used the Academy’s SMART response system, which operates similarly to controls used in ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire’. Rauceby School (pictured) finished in first place, with Navenby second and Cranwell third.
