An Elephant in the Garden at the LPAC
Michael Morpurgo's novel An Elephant in the Garden is bring brought to life at Lincoln Performing Arts Centre this week.
Lizzie’s mother works at Dresden zoo in Germany.
But the events of World War II shatter their existing lives and Lizzie, her mother – and an elephant from the zoo or forced to flee the city after it is fire-bombed.
It is Lizzie’s story – but Marlene, the elephant, is the heroine.
