'No room at inn' as vendors rush for places at popular Louth Christmas Market
There is ‘no room at the inn’ ahead of one of the highlights of the Christmas calendar in Louth.
For the maximum number of stalls has already been reached for the annual Louth Christmas Market, which is to be held on Sunday, November 29 from 10 am to 4 pm. And that means the popular event looks sure to be another success.
The market has run for more than 30 years and has traditionally been regarded as a feather in the cap for the town, earning rave reviews from visitors who take advantage of a host of festive offerings.
The future of the event was cast into doubt last year. But the Louth and District Lions community organisation agreed to to take on the running of the market from 2026, working in partnership with local businesses, Louth Town Council and East Lindsey District Council.

Hundreds are expected to flock into the town centre, with more than 100 vendors selling a wide range of festive gifts, crafts, food and drink.
There will also be a full programme of family fun and entertainment, with all proceeds from the event going to local charities.
The Lions is a group that prides itself on supporting community events, activities and initiatives.
This coming Saturday (November 7), it is hosting a charity bonfire and fireworks night at Deighton Close Fields, off Elkington Road.

Gates open at 5.30 pm, for a bonfire to be lit at 6.30 pm and fireworks from 7 pm. Tickets are priced £6 for adults and £3 for children.
Local radio presenter Ross Carrick will preside over the event, which will also feature hot food and drink stalls.
