Chestnut Homes helps charity dog walk fetch over £100 for Jerry Green Dog Rescue

Lincolnshire homebuilder Chestnut Homes has recently supported Boston Ladies Circle 525 for a second time, by helping the group raise funds for Jerry Green Dog Rescue.

Boston Ladies Circle 525 is part of a national organisation that brings together women aged 18 to 45 to make new friends and support their local community through volunteering, fundraising and social action initiatives.

For 2026/27, Boston Ladies Circle 525 is focusing all its fundraising efforts on Jerry Green Dog Rescue, an animal welfare charity operating across Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire. For over 60 years, Jerry Green Dog Rescue has been caring for abandoned, neglected and mistreated dogs, helping them find safe new homes.

As part of its long-term support of Jerry Green Dog Rescue, Boston Ladies Circle 525 recently hosted a ‘Paws and Puzzles’ charity dog walk at Westgate Wood in Wyberton, which saw families and their canine companions follow a puzzle trail through the natural woodland.

Chestnut Homes, which is building new homes in Wyberton at The Quadrant and Heron Park developments, took part in the event by donating dog treats and toys to be featured in a charity tombola on the day.

The event raised just over £100 for Jerry Green Dog Rescue, with further fundraising activities already planned for the future.

Ashley Leong, Chair of Boston Ladies Circle 525, said: “Our first ever charity dog walk at Westgate Wood was a tail wagging success. Even the sun couldn't help but come out! Families and their furry friends explored the puzzle trail in the great outdoors all the while raising vital funds to save and transform the lives of dogs in need.”

Robyn Pedley, Marketing Manager at Chestnut Homes, said: “Uplifting communities in and around Boston is hugely important to us at Chestnut Homes, so we’re delighted to have continued our support of Boston Ladies Circle 525 and helped them fundraise for the wonderful Jerry Green Dog Rescue.

“The ‘Paws and Puzzles’ charity dog walk was a fantastic way to raise vital funds and awareness of the charity’s work, while also bringing the community together for a day of celebrating our beloved pets. As part of our ongoing commitment to Boston, we’re already looking forward to contributing to Boston Ladies Circle 525’s future charity events.”
