Popular discount department store set for high street in Lincolnshire town - with 20 new jobs created
A new discount department store is set to open in Mablethorpe’s High Street in September, creating 20 news jobs for the town.
TJ Hughes has confirmed it will open in the old Factory Shop unit – offering a wide selection of products, from fashion and beauty – to home appliances and garden furniture.
Jason Harmer, COO of TJ Hughes, expressed his enthusiasm for the move: “This represents an important step for us. Mablethorpe is a fantastic location with a great community reputation and it is also a thriving destination for holiday makers and visitors. We are opening in a site that has served the town well for several years so we believe this move will be good for both the town and for our brand."
He added: "Coming to Mablethorpe, which is a new location for our brand, is something we’re really excited about. We are recruiting 20 members of staff for the new store, and this move is part of the broader growth of the TJ Hughes estate.”
Offering a wide selection of products, including fashion and footwear, beauty, home and home appliances, pet care and general everyday goods, TJ Hughes says it will “provide local customers with access to affordable quality goods”.
The store is expected to open in early September.
