The success of the weekend depends on the enthusiastic volunteers, but any help to man stalls or games, the five-a-side football tournament or tug o’ war is appreciated.

So if you have time to spare on the Saturday morning and would like to help with the festivities, ring 613998.

If you can help with the school activities, contact the school.

This year the village hall has organised a scarecrow competition. Scarecrows can be any shape or size, and must be on display from the end of June to July 17.

For further information and to register your scarecrow ring 613998.

The scarecrow trail map will be available on the Feast Saturday morning so you can walk around Morton to see everyone’s efforts.

As well as all the usual fun and games, there will also be a plant stall.

Any donations of plants, either indoor or outdoor would be very welcome. Bring to the summer fair after 9am or ring 613998 for collection.
