Lincolnshire Police thanks those thinking of others at Christmas

Lincolnshire Police force’s Christmas charity collection for Refuge and Domestic Abuse Services in the county has been a huge success.

Sarah Norburn the Domestic Abuse Coordinator for Lincolnshire Police said: “This has been a terrific effort by all concerned and I would like to thank each and every one of them. This will spread a little joy at least, amongst some disadvantaged children this Christmas.”

Generous donations have been made, in particular a large collection from Boston Police Station, officers and staff in CID and the Public Protection Unit along with Major Crime Unit at Sleaford.

A sale of crochet toys saw £190.00 raised at Police Headquarters earlier this week.

A large donation was also made to the force’s collection by Smart Move Lettings in Boston, so special thanks to them for their contribution. They donated to Boston Women’s Aid as part of their local campaign also.

A grand total of £235.00 has been collected alongside the large donation of toys, books, games and toiletries. The donation was delivered to West Lincolnshire Domestic Abuse Service on Christmas Eve, by Deputy Chief Constable Heather Roach, Assistant Chief Officer Nancie Shackleton and Sarah Norburn.
