Motorcyclist injured after collision in Mablethorpe after ‘failing to stop’ for police

A 19-year-old motorcyclist was arrested and taken to hospital following a collision in Mablethorpe in the early hours of Monday morning (July 19).

Shortly after 2.30am on Monday, emergency services attended the scene of the collision in Seaholme Road, near the junction with Aqua Drive.

The collision involved a black Lexmoto motorcycle, and Lincolnshire Police have said that the rider had failed to stop for officers before the crash happened.

The rider was subsequently arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop.

Following treatment at hospital he was taken to Skegness Police Station, and has since been released under investigation while the investigation continues.

A police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for anyone who was on Seaholme Road around 2.30am and saw the motorcycle or the collision to get in touch.”
