Scout leader Delphine Norton split 18 members into four groups, and gave each £1.

Their challenge was to increase the £1 stake by as much as possible in three weeks, with the group who made the most money choosing the charity the funds should go to.

A cake sale and sponsored bike ride were just two of the ways that the groups endeavoured to raise funds. The red team raised the most money and their chosen charity was the Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA).

Steve Hanson, from RAFA, met with the Cubs to receive a cheque for £138.35. As part of his visit, he also gave a talk about the work of RAFA.
