Just cut out the coupon in this week’s Guardian (out tomorrow) and present it at the counter of the shop, based at the Carlton Arts, Vintage and Crafts Centre on Carlton Road until Thursday, April 21, to receive £1 worth of delicious free pick ’n’ mix.

Shoppers were overjoyed when Edwards Emporium, which was originally based on Bridge Street in the town centre, reopened last year.

The shop stocks jar upon jar of of vintage and modern sweets, featuring all the old favourites, such as sherbert lemons, cherry lips and newer creations from America such as Reese’s peanut butter cups.

Dave Edwards, owner, also strives to ensure diabetic, vegetarian and vegan sweet-tooths are catered for with a range of sugar-free, gelatine-free, gluten-free and other specialist confectionary.

Dave also recently opened a record shop, the Vinyl Frontier, at the centre which stocks affordable records.

Customers can get a free loyalty card, usable in both the sweet and record shops, and collect a stamp every time they spend £3 – with £3 credit to spend with every five stamps collected.
