Langold: Poorly little girl will have the New Year of her dreams in Disneyland thanks to group’s fundraising quest

Louise Goulding, Mikey Raynor, Charlotte Mckeema and Betty Parson were presented with the accolade in a surprise ceremony on Tuesday, November 3.

They were nominated by their friend Stephanie Bruce whose four-year-old daughter Ellie-Mae was diagnosed with a heart defect in April and has since had to undergo grueling surgery at Leeds Infirmary.

Thanks to a surprise fundraiser held at the Royal Legion in Langold by the determined team in September, the youngster will now celebrate the new year in style with a once in a lifetime family trip to Disneyland Paris.

Stephanie said: “I wanted to say a big thank you to my friends for all the hard work they have done for us.”

“Betty, who is my partner’s nan, also had her head shaved to raise more funds for the trip which at 82-years-old is absolutely amazing.”
