Lincs: Members of the Search and Rescue Team have been deployed to Bosnia and Herzegovina to assist with serious flooding in the Balkans.

Seven members of Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue’s International Search and Rescue Team have been deployed to Bosnia and Herzegovina, to support the response to wide-spread flooding affecting the Balkan region.

The firefighters will be self-sufficient for up to 10 days and will operate four powered rescue boat teams, 24 hours a day, in support of the affected communities. They will join 33 firefighters who flew from Manchester along with rescue equipment including four rigid inflatable boats and engines.
