Modern house plans in Epworth knocked back
Plans to create a modern energy efficient home in Epworth have been rejected by North Lincolnshire Council.
The proposal for 5 Blow Row, a brick built bungalow, was submitted by Mr John Shirley whose vision was to create a striking modern family home, provide increased light and space, improve the thermal performance of the existing building fabric and develop an appropriately sustainable home.
There was a mixed response to the plans. Carol Douglas of Blow Row asked: “Is it really in keeping with the rest of the buildings on the street?”
Andrea Williams said: “We really like the modern design and use of green energy.”
