We have been proud to celebrate some fantastic achievements and accolades over the last couple of weeks here at Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS).

Both myself and LCHS chairman Elaine Baylis were honoured to present our long service awards, where 69 members of staff celebrated a combined 1,690 years with the NHS.

This was a fantastic opportunity to say a big thank you to all of these members of staff for their loyal and dedicated service.

I go out and about visiting teams across all our services and it is always very heartwarming to hear about staff experiences of working in the NHS and, in particular, those who have spent their years with patients and families in Lincolnshire. It was a pleasure to be able to help them celebrate their loyal service.

Last month, we hosted our Celebrating Success Awards during our Health at Home event. The day was a huge success and gave members of the public an opportunity to find out more about LCHS.

Dedication, commitment and service above and beyond the call of duty were honoured. We are very proud of the services we offer in Lincolnshire and Peterborough, and this year wanted to share our successes with the communities we serve.

We had more than 150 nominations for our awards and I would like to congratulate each of our winners and finalists.

They all make significant contributions to supporting our patients and their families on a daily basis and their selfless dedication is what helps to make LCHS so special.

We value our staff here at LCHS. The NHS is not about the buildings, it is about the people and the people we care for. Part of that is looking after our staff and celebrating achievements.
