Businesses encouraged to help people get out and about in Lincolnshire
Local businesses and community groups are being encouraged to take part in an annual festival designed to inspire people to get outside and enjoy everything the Lincolnshire Wolds has to offer.
The Lincolnshire Wolds Outdoor Festival celebrates the variety of outdoor activities available in the area, promoting wellbeing, sustainability and community engagement.
Organisers are inviting businesses to showcase their services, attract visitors, and contribute to an initiative aimed at encouraging people to be active—particularly important as residents look to get moving after winter.
A diverse programme of activities is planned for 2026, including cycling, fishing, golf, bushcraft, water sports, art, dance, gliding and more. There is also interest in unique experiences such as yoga, wellness sessions, archery and axe throwing, giving people a chance to try something new. Where possible, organisers encourage sessions to be free or low-cost to make them accessible to all.

Coun Adam Grist, Portfolio Holder for Market Towns and the Rural Economy at East Lindsey District Council, said: “The Lincolnshire Wolds Outdoor Festival is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the beauty and diversity of our area while supporting local businesses and encouraging people to get active.
"We want as many organisations as possible to get involved and help make this event a real celebration of everything the Wolds has to offer.”
The festival – which runs from from Saturday, May 16, to Sunday, May 31, .is organised by Love Lincolnshire Wolds in partnership with East Lindsey District Council, West Lindsey District Council, Lincolnshire County Council, Let’s Move Lincolnshire, Lincolnshire Rural Support Network, Ramblers Lincolnshire, Stourton Estates, South Ormsby Estate, and the Lincolnshire Wolds Countryside Service.
Businesses and organisations wishing to take part should complete an application by Friday, January 9, 2026, via woldsoutdoorfestival.com/account/register, or contact [email protected] to discuss ideas.
