Cracker of a day in Spilsby

A cracker of a time was had in Spilsby when the town turned out for some festive fun.

The annual Cracker Day event took place at the Franklin Hall on Saturday.

It was organised by Spilsby Rotary Club and featured a variety of stalled and entertainment by the U3A Singers.

There was also a Christmas card competition’ entered by children from primary schools in and around Spilsby, which was sponsored by Sills and Betteridge,

Spilsby Mayor Coun Terry Taylor Mayor said: "It was wonderful to see so many people supporting the annual Cracker Day event, organised by the Rotary Club of Spilsby.

"It had so many varied stalls, a Santa's Grotto, refreshments and entertainment by the U3A Singers, which all makes for a great atmosphere for the run down to Christmas."

The next big event in Skegness will be the Rotary Club of Spilsby Christmas Carol Service on Friday, December 13, at St James Church at 7.30pm.
