A Gainsborough woman admitted causing the death of a couple after a crash in Marton.

Claire Parker, 56, of Juniper Way, Gainsborough, appeared at Lincoln Crown Court on Monday, February 8, and has pleaded guilty to two charges of causing death by dangerous driving.

She has been remanded into custody for sentencing on February 23.

Parker also appeared before a district judge at Lincoln Magistrates Court on Monday, January 11, and was then released on conditional bail

The charges were made in the name of Claire Page, but she is also known as Claire Parker and is using the surname Parker in respect of this court case.

Steven Edwardson, 46, and Heather Locking, 39, died following a crash on the A156 at Marton on December 5, 2019.

The incident happened near the junction with Clay Lane at around 5pm and involved two cars, a white BMW M5 and a silver Vauxhall Astra.

Steven and Heather were in the Astra and Parker was in the BMW. They were pronouned dead at the scene.

Parker was seriously injured and was taken to hospital.

The road was closed for several hours while emergency services attended.
