'I just want to make some happy memories': Father of five with terminal cancer hopes to wed the love his life before time runs out

A devoted father of five from Skegness who has terminal cancer is hoping to wed the love of his life before time runs out.
Daniel Singleton, 37, launched a fundraising campaign to make his dream wedding a reality – and to leave something behind for his family when he is gone.
His original goal was to raise £5,000 – and the community has already shown remarkable generosity on his GoFundMe page by achieving that target already.
However, Daniel said after the latest update on his condition, he feels like time is running out.
A local jeweller before he became sick, Daniel said his biggest wish was to give his partner, Amanda Odling, and children a special day they will never forget.
"Amanda and I have been together for seven years and she is the love of my life,” Daniel said.”We first started talking about getting married two-and-a-half years ago.
“However, since my diagnosis it has been a very difficult time for us.
“Our children are five, four and two and they have been asking when are we getting married.
"But we now have the wedding date set.”
The wedding has been booked for December 16 with the ceremony at Skegness Register Office. A reception is planned at the Bell Inn in Burgh le Marsh.
When we spoke to Daniel he still had the wedding rings to buy. He added: “Anything left over will go to help my family when I am gone. But now I just want to make some happy memories for them.”
