Councillor Eddy Poll, executive member for waste at Lincolnshire County Council, said: “Lots of residents have been in touch wanting to dispose of their general waste accumulated through lockdown, so we’ve moved a number of processes around and have made this possible.”

Next week, all household waste recycling centres (tips) across the county will only accept black bagged non-recyclable general waste on:

• Monday, June 1

• Tuesday, June 2

Coun Poll added: “We know this is a change to how we do things – to have a single waste type being accepted at a time, but we know our residents need to get rid of their lockdown waste. This enables us to have the containers and processes in place to accept it quickly and easily.”
