More Click and Tip time slots for Household Waste Recycling Centres released

Over 17,000 new time slots for Lincolnshire County Council’s Household Waste Recycling Centre ‘click and tip’ booking system have been released today (Wednesday, May 27), with a number for general waste only.

Lincolnshire County Council has expanded its Click and Tip service - and is now accepting more types of household waste at tips across the county.

Councillor Eddy Poll, executive member for waste at Lincolnshire County Council, said: “Lots of residents have been in touch wanting to dispose of their general waste accumulated through lockdown, so we’ve moved a number of processes around and have made this possible.”

Next week, all household waste recycling centres (tips) across the county will only accept black bagged non-recyclable general waste on:

• Monday, June 1

• Tuesday, June 2

• Sunday, June 7

Tips in Grantham, Sleaford, Bourne, Louth, Skegness and Kirkby on Bain will be accepting green waste, wood, paper, cardboard, glass, electricals and scrap metal on:

• Wednesday, June 3

• Thursday, June 4

All tips across the county will be able to accept green waste, wood, paper, cardboard, glass, electricals and scrap metal on:

• Friday, June 5

• Saturday, June 6

Coun Poll added: “We know this is a change to how we do things – to have a single waste type being accepted at a time, but we know our residents need to get rid of their lockdown waste. This enables us to have the containers and processes in place to accept it quickly and easily.”
