Police to increase patrols after increased activity at Woodhall Spa Cricket Club

Woodhall Spa Cricket Club have asked for help to identify two individuals riding quad and motorbike over their ground at Jubilee Park.

In a tweet, the club says the pair are potentially causing damage and add that they are ‘not sure it is essential journey or exercise.’

The tweet was sent to police who have urged the club to report any repeats of incident via 101.

Horncastle police said: “If seen again, we can then come and deal.

“We will also do some extra patrols in the area.”

Several people have tweeted messages in support of the club’s appeal, describing the riders as ‘absolute clowns with no respect for the culture we live in.’

The club’s ground at Jubilee Park is regularly ranked as the best in the ECB’s Lincolnshire Premier League, winning a host of awards.

The new season would have been underway this weekend but Covid-19 restrictions mean all matches across the entire country have been cancelled.
