Registered manager at Toray Pines Care Home Katie More was delighted to announce her deputy, Sherin Kandi, has taken over the reins as home manager.

Katie has accepted a new position with Tanglewood Care Homes and is confident she is leaving her much-loved Toray Pines in capable hands.

Sherin said: “I am passionate about caring for the elderly and strongly believe in delivering the best person-centred care.

“I have worked in the care sector for over 10 years and have always operated an open door policy.

“I love working with people and my motto is ‘Together Everyone Achieves More’ (TEAM).”

Sherin has been deputy manager for Toray Pines since August 2018.

He has a degree in pharmacology and over the past two years has taken every opportunity to further his career in the industry he has made his passion.

He completed a Level 5 Leadership & Management Award [Health & Social Care], a ‘Developing Management Programme’ with LinCa, and more recently a CPD Accredited Award in ‘Person Centred Dementia Care’.

Regional manager Caroline Greaves said: “It has been a pleasure to watch Sherin grow in confidence in his role as deputy manager for Toray Pines.

“He has taken opportunities to train and develop and has been an asset to the Toray team.

“I am delighted he has taken the next step in his career ladder; he is ready for the challenge!

“I sincerely wish Sherin every success.”
