Top five sounds of the summer heading to the coast
From Adele classics performed by candlelight to the thunderous sound of AC/DC, this summer's entertainment programme at Skegness' Embassy Theatre promises something for every musical taste.
The theatre has unveiled a packed line-up for August, bringing together chart-topping tributes, family favourites, comedy and rock anthems as holidaymakers and local audiences flock to the coast.
Leading the way is Hometown Glory, an award-winning celebration of Adele's music, starring Natalie Black. The candlelit concert experience will bring the superstar's biggest hits to life on Saturday, August 1.
For many families, however, one of the highlights of the summer season remains the annual production by the Janice Sutton Theatre School.

Now celebrating its 41st summer season, the much-loved Skegness tradition returns with The Sound of Musicals, a spectacular showcase of West End and Broadway favourites featuring a talented cast of singers and dancers. Performances take place on August 6, 13, 20 and 27.
Comedy fans can look forward to an evening with controversial comedian Jim Davidson, who brings his latest tour, Last Man Standing... Just, to the Embassy on August 7.
The following night sees a burst of glitter, platforms and nostalgia as The Glam Rock Show celebrates the music of T. Rex, Slade, David Bowie, Sweet, Mud, Wizzard and more.
Rock fans are also in for a treat when Live/Wire – The AC/DC Show arrives on August 14, recreating the energy and spectacle of one of the world's greatest rock bands with a full two-hour performance packed with classic hits.
Rounding off the summer programme is the Embassy's continued commitment to providing a full theatre experience, with hospitality packages available through Embassy Upstairs and pre-show dining options for visitors looking to make a special evening of their trip.
The theatre says the season has been designed to offer "something to suit every taste" and with tributes, musicals, comedy and classic rock all on the bill, audiences heading to the coast this summer certainly won't be short of choice.
