Repairs will begin on Dogdyke Road on Tuesday April 18, with the work expected to last two days. To allow the project to be carried out safely, the road will be closed to traffic during the daytime.

This will be followed by overnight works on Silver Street on Thursday 20 and Friday 21 April. On those days, the road will be closed from 10pm to 6.30am the following morning.

Finally, on Saturday 22 April, the road markings will be replaced on both roads, including the roundabout area.

Access for residents and businesses will be maintained throughout, although there may be delays. Local diversions will be in place for the duration of the works.

Mark Heaton, programme leader – surfacing and patching, said: “These roads are both in need of repair, so it’s essential we get this work done.

“We’ve programmed some of the repairs to take place overnight in order to minimise the disruption caused.
