Woman, 75, dies in three-car collision near Osbournby

A 75-year-old woman has died after being involved in a three-car collision near Sleaford.

Lincolnshire Police say the fatal collision occurred on the A52 Grantham Road near the village on Saturday afternoon when emergency services were called to the scene at 5.30pm.

A police spokesman said: “A three-car collision took place between the roundabout with the A15 and the turning for Scott Willoughby.

“The incident involved three vehicles – a grey Mini Cooper S, a red Audi S3 and a grey Ford Fiesta. All the vehicles were travelling in the same direction prior to the collision - from the East to the West along the A52.”

They added: “Sadly, a 75-year-old woman from Nottingham who was travelling in one of the cars was fatally injured in the collision.”

Officers investigating the cause of the crash are appealing for witnesses and information.

They say: “We would like to hear from anyone who saw any of the vehicles prior to the incident, or anyone who has any information or dashcam footage that might assist the investigation.”
