Leaders Sleaford Town Reserves were held to a draw at Skegness United, while second placed Wyberton crashed to a heavy defeat at Brigg Town Reserves.

Fourth placed Lincoln Railway AFC were hit for six at neighbours Hykeham Town, while Market Rasen Town lifted themselves off the foot of the table with a share of the spoils at Cleethorpes.

Ruston Sports now occupy the bottom rung after defeat by the odd goal in three at home to Horncastle Town.

Skegness Town’s home match against CGB Humbertherm was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

League leaders Sleaford Town Reserves led at the break thanks to a Nathan Thompson strike that went in off a post.

But the big talking point during the half time interval was the chance missed by United striker Daniel Reid, who blasted the ball against the cross bar with the goal gaping.

George Hobbins spared Reid’s blushes with a 47th minute equaliser and Corey Cunliffe crashed a shot against the cross bar as the home side threatened to send their opponents home without any points.

A late rally from Sleaford saw them hit a post, but the game finished all square.

Horncastle Town 2

Goals from Robbie Fixter and Richard Jackson helped Horncastle Town to three points at Lincoln-based Ruston Sports.

Lee Burke was the Rustons scorer.

The win consolidated Town’s eighth place in the table.

Wyberton 0

Brigg Town Reserves consolidated their fifth place in the league table when they hit five past high-flying Wyberton at The Hawthorns.

On target for Town were Christopher Rodgers, Adam Gowing, Ryan Thompson, Ben Brown and Joshua Goodman.

A brace of goals from Aaron Ford earned Market Rasen Town a valuable point at Cleethorpes.

The point earned by Rasen was enough to lift them off the bottom of the table on goal difference.

Samuel Walker and Liam Higton found the back of the net for the seasiders, who dropped one place to seventh in the table.

Michael Sullivan and Josh Raby scored two apiece as six-shooting Hykeham climbed to sixth in the table with victory over Lincoln Railway AFC.

Callum Chapman and Chris Funnell were also on target for the home side, while George Zuerner grabbed the railmen’s consolation.
