Injury list growing for Boston United as end of season looms
Boston United manager Paul Hurst is relieved there are only two games left to play as he has a growing injury list to cope with.
Before last night's 1-1 draw at Wealdstone he lost Frankie Maguire, Jordy Hiwula and Jordan Richards from the weekend's win over Truro, joining Zak Mills, Ken Aboh and Jordan Cropper on the treatment table.

“We lost Jordy Hiwula tonight which probably influenced how we set up a little bit,” he said.
“And, from what we explained we were looking for on a tactics board, I thought the lads did extremely well.
“Quite a few of them were carrying knocks or just looking fatigued and we are definitely struggling on numbers.
“The good news is there is only two games to go, and the chairman can breath a sigh of relief as the transfer window is shut.
“If it had been mid-season we would definitely have had to be looking at potential reinforcements to bring in.”
A last gasp equaliser by Fela Olomola denied United all three points.
Jacob Hazel had broken the deadlock from the penalty spot on 69 minutes and it had looked enough to win at the FA Trophy finalists.
But the Stones struck in the final seconds of the four added minutes, made even more sickening as Olomola's finish took a deflection that beat Dan Cameron.
Both sides also had two efforts apiece ruled out for offside in an even mid-table contest, with both sides enjoying spells of dominance in both halves.
“Apart from the obvious disappointment of conceding so late, there was a lot more I liked about our performance tonight,” said Hurst.
“I thought it was a big improvement in comparison to the last two games and I was happy with a lot of it.
“I don't think we approached those two previous games in the right manner.
“It is always disappointing to concede a late goal – and the type of goal it was, being a deflected shot that Dan could not quite get across to.”
Hurst was pleased to see Hazel back on the scoresheet as he slowly makes his return from injury.
“Jacob has obviously had a long journey back and there has been a lot made of him coming back and getting a few minutes – I think that is the most minutes he has had,” he said.
“I am not saying he wouldn't have taken the penalty anyway but I think the lads wanted to give him that moment.
“It looked like it just bobbled into the bottom corner, but it doesn't matter how it goes in. It was a nice moment for him and in front of our fans as well which was nice as he could go and celebrate with them.”
Hazel did have the ball in the net again, but it was ruled out.
“I have not seen it back but my initial thought was that he was probably just offside, albeit tight,” said Hurst.
“But, on offsides, I think we should have been 1-0 up very early in the game and I think the officials got that wrong and it should have been a goal for Tom Cursons.
“Who knows how that might have changed the course of the game? And it was frustrating for Tom, who would have been pleased to get back on the scoresheet.
“But Wealdstone are a good team, so to get a point is not the worst in the world.”
Boston next head to Solihull Moors in the National League on Saturday and Hurst added: “Credit to the players.
"It is now three unbeaten – a win and two draws – which is not a bad thing and we move on to Saturday and another game against a team that is very much in and around us with some good players and who have been in good form.”
Hurst must also field a side comprising U21s with the odd first teamer tonight to contest the Lincolnshire Senior Cup final against GrimsbyTown at the Jakemans Community Stadium (7pm).
United fans can utilise Turnstiles W1-W2 and W3-W4 for the Acorn Taxis (West) Stand.
Town supporters should use Turnstile E2 for the Optic-Kleer (East) Stand.
Grimsby fans are also welcome to sit in Block A of the West Stand.
Car parking is unreserved on the evening and available on a first come, first served basis.
