Wyberton are preparing for a ‘massive’ game against Horncastle Town tomorrow as they look to bounce back from Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at Epworth.

The Colts and Wongers will meet at the Causeway on Wednesday evening (KO 7.45pm), both sides in search of much-needed Lincolnshire League points.

Reflecting on Saturday’s reverse, managers Jamie Hanton and Jon Macleod said: “Disappointed and frustrated are two words that come to mind - it’s another game where we are well in the game but a loss of concentration has cost us.

”The first goal we’ve switched off for one moment and they’ve scored and, for the second goal, the lad’s scored from a free kick which was never a foul.

”Nut nonetheless we have to be more street wise. It’s ok us saying we’re in games but at the end of the day it’s another game we’ve got no points from, so we have to look at ourselves and think where it’s going wrong.

“We move forward now to Wednesday against Horncastle, which is another massive game.

“Any game after a loss is a massive game.”
