The event was an American round consisting of 30 arrows at 60, 50 and 40 yards, with a maximum score of 810.

Both Louth girls shot the shorter junior distance of 40, 30 and 20 yards, and Louise recorded 642 in the recurve class, while Amber scored 710 in the compound class.

Derek was delighted with their performances in the first outdoor event of 2020.

The club held its final shoot on Tuesday before a temporary closure to slow the spread of coronavirus.

A club statement read: “We feel it is in the best interests of the club and all its members that we take this action now.

“We will inform you when the club will resume as normal as soon as we know.”
