More than 200 ukulele players descended on Bishop Grosseteste University Campus last year for an afternoon of ukulele performances, workshops, singarounds and other related activities. This year, even more people are expected to attend so the length of the event has been extended and even more performers invited.

The festival takes place this Sunday, April 10, and runs from 11am to 6pm.

Admission to the festival is free and it is held in spacious rooms supplied by the University.

There is also ample free parking on site and refreshments will be available.

Special guests this year are Mike Krabbers and La Bella Band, both well known on the ukulele circuit, and there will be plenty of opportunity for participants to take part in whole-audience singarounds.

You don’t have to be an expert player to attend; all levels of ability will be catered for and there is a special workshop for total beginners.
