Earlier this month a group of friends walked from Woodhall Spa to Spilsby to raise funds for the Lancaster Just Jane, which is based at the East Kirkby Airfield.

The centre is currently raising funds to try to get the iconic aircraft back in the air.
And, in a bid to help towards that goal, the group of friends walked 24 miles.

It took them from 10am to 9.30pm but they made it.

And they have now revealed that they raised £650 for the fund.

“It was a fun walk which meant we stopped in the majority of pubs along the way, which is why it took us so long,” said one of the walkers, Bob Green.

It is not the first time the friends have embarked on a long trek for charity. At Christmas they raised funds for the Eresby Home.
