Celebrating International Dog Day at Newton House
Residents at Newton House were delighted to celebrate International Dog Day with a very special morning of furry friendship, as they welcomed the adorable Larry the Cavapoo and beautiful Willow the Cocker Spaniel for a wonderful animal therapy visit.

Larry and Willow spent the morning visiting residents throughout the home, bringing plenty of wagging tails, cuddles and smiles along the way.

It was truly heart warming to see the joy and engagement the dogs brought to residents. Their visit sparked wonderful conversations, encouraged reminiscence and created lots of special moments as residents shared stories of beloved pets from throughout their lives.
For many of our residents, animals hold a very special place in their hearts, and the opportunity to spend time with such loving and friendly dogs provided a wonderful sense of comfort, companionship and connection.

General Manager Sonia Fairhurst said: "It was absolutely beautiful to see the happiness Larry and Willow brought to our residents. The smiles on their faces and the wonderful conversations that followed were truly heart warming. Animals have such a special ability to bring people together and create moments of pure joy, and we were delighted to celebrate International Dog Day by welcoming these two gorgeous visitors into our home."
At Newton House, we love creating opportunities for our residents to connect, reminisce and enjoy the things that bring them happiness, and International Dog Day was the perfect excuse for plenty of cuddles, wagging tails and wonderful memories.
