East Lindsey rents up 7.2% in a year, among the 25 cheapest in England and Wales (ONS figures, September 2026)

East Lindsey is the 23rd cheapest of the 316 council areas in England and Wales in which to rent a home, according to new figures from the Office for National Statistics.

The average private rent in East Lindsey was £707 a month in September 2026, up 7.2% on a year earlier.

In the north of the county, North East Lincolnshire is sixth cheapest, at £651 a month (up 7.6%), and North Lincolnshire eighth, at £654 (up 5.8%).

Across England and Wales, Hartlepool is the cheapest area at £562 a month and Kensington and Chelsea the dearest at £3,739, where one month's rent would pay for more than six and a half months in Hartlepool.
