GCSE Results Day: Celebrating outstanding achievement and strong year-on-year progress
“We are incredibly proud of every one of our students today.”
Haven High Academy is celebrating a successful set of GCSE results today, with strong year-on-year progress across a wide range of subjects, with particularly significant improvements in English and Maths, as well as Geography and Science.

The results reflect the hard work, determination and resilience of students throughout their secondary education, as well as the dedication of staff who have supported them every step of the way.
There have been many exceptional individual performances, with students achieving outstanding grades across a broad range of subjects.
Among this year’s highest achievers are:
· Rylan, who achieved an exceptional Grade 9, five Grade 7s, a Grade 6, a Grade 5 and a Level 2 Distinction.
· Harry, who achieved a Grade 7, five Grade 6s and three Grade 5s.
· Emilia, who achieved an outstanding five Grade 8s, alongside a Grade 7 and three Grade 6s.

· Sophia, who achieved a Grade 9, Grade 8, two Grade 7s, Grade 6 and four Grade 5s.
· Noor, who achieved three Grade 7s, four Grade 6s, a Grade 5 and a Level 2 Merit.
The school is also celebrating the success of a number of students who have made exceptional progress from KS2 to KS4, exceeding their individual target grades across most or, in some cases, all of their subjects. Emilia, Jagoda, Mikolaj D, Mikolaj K, Rita, Ruby, Jimmy and Callum have all achieved excellent progress against their targets, securing particularly strong grades across a wide range of subjects. Their achievements are a testament to their hard work, determination and commitment throughout Year 11.
Executive Headteacher Austin Sheppard said: “We are incredibly proud of every one of our students today. GCSE results are about much more than a collection of grades: they represent years of hard work, perseverance, challenge and personal growth.

“There are some truly exceptional individual performances among this year’s results, and we are delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievements of students who have achieved very highly and those who have surpassed their individual targets.
“We are particularly pleased with the strong year-on-year progress across so many subjects. This reflects the determination of our students and the commitment of our staff to ensuring that every young person is supported to achieve their potential.
“Most importantly, we are proud of all of our students. Every grade represents an individual journey, and we know the effort and resilience that sit behind these results. We wish every member of our Year 11 the very best as they take their next steps, whether that is into further education, apprenticeships, training or employment. They leave us with our very best wishes and our absolute confidence in what they can achieve.”
The school would also like to thank parents, carers and families for the encouragement and support they have given students throughout their GCSE journey, and to recognise the commitment of teachers and support staff who have worked tirelessly to help students achieve these results.
Today is a day to celebrate the achievements of the whole Year 11 cohort. We are exceptionally proud of them all and look forward to seeing what they accomplish next.
