Late Zak Munton goal not enough to earn a point for Boston Town
Fisrt away defeat since February for Poachers
Boston Town lost an away match for the first time since February as they were edged out 2-1 by Carlton Town on Tuesday night.

After a promising start, the Poachers had to make an early substitution as Jordan Tate replaced Layton Maddison, who had previously received treatment after going down off the ball.
The hosts then then went 1-0 up after 35 minutes with a far post header from a corner.
The Nottinghamshire club doubled their lead after 61 minutes, but Zak Munton gave the visitors a lifeline when he fired home four minutes from the end of the normal time.
Chris Funnell's side almost snatched a draw when Matt Cotton's shot clipped the bar but fell jus short in the end.
Boston now have a mouthwatering home double header coming up over the bank holiday weekend.
On Saturday (29th August), they face Nantwich Town in their first FA Trophy tie for 43 years.
And local rivals Bourne Town are the visitors on Monday, 31st August in the Pitching In Northern Premier League Midlands Division.
Both games kick off at 3pm at the Mortgages For You Stadium.
Saturday’s game against Nantwich is the club's first FA Trophy game since they were knocked out by Bedworth United in 1983 and subsequently switched to the FA Vase.
Monday’s game will be the first time Boston Town and Bourne have met since the Wakes beat the Poachers on penalties in the United Counties League Premier North play-off final in April 2025 in front of a crowd of 1,781 at Abbey Lawn.
The first 100 Club draw of the season will take place in the clubhouse after the Nantwich game.
