Widely regarded as one of the UK’s most successful and influential artists, Paul Heaton has spent more than four decades crafting some of British music’s most enduring songs. From The Housemartins and The Beautiful South to his acclaimed solo career, his work combines infectious melodies with sharp wit, social observation and heartfelt storytelling.

With six Number 1 albums and more than 15 million album sales to his name, Paul has built a catalogue that includes timeless favourites such as Happy Hour, Caravan Of Love, Song For Whoever, A Little Time, Rotterdam (Or Anywhere), Perfect 10 and Don’t Marry Her.

The Lincoln Castle show follows the release of this summer’s Jenius, Paul's acclaimed new album and his first-ever solo Number 1. The chart-topping record arrived almost exactly 40 years after The Housemartins' era-defining debut, London: 0 Hull: 4, underlining Paul's status as one of British music's most cherished and consistent songwriting talents.

Produced by legendary Lightning Seeds frontman Ian Broudie, Jenius features 15 new songs spanning rock ’n’ roll, country, soul, ska, blues, Yacht Rock and even Latin. Its sharp observations on love, loneliness, community and the state of the nation showcase the wit, warmth and craftsmanship that have long defined Paul’s songwriting.

Joining Paul in Lincoln will be special guest singer Rianne Downey, who has become a popular fixture as part of his live band since first joining him on tour in 2023. The Scottish singer-songwriter also featured on his last two albums, Jenius and The Mighty Several, and continues to earn praise for her distinctive vocals and captivating performances.‌

The headline concerts are presented as part of an ongoing partnership with Lincolnshire County Council and Live Nation promoters Cuffe and Taylor to bring world-class artists to perform in this outstanding historic location.

Cuffe and Taylor promoter Mark Harrison said: "Paul Heaton is one of Britain's greatest songwriters and live performers, with a catalogue packed full of songs that mean so much to so many people. Whether from The Housemartins, The Beautiful South or his hugely successful solo career, these are the kind of songs that bring people together and are made to be sung at the top of your lungs. We're delighted to welcome Paul with special guest Rianne Downey to Lincoln Castle for what promises to be a very special summer evening.”
