Residents and staff take centre stage at Holdingham Grange
There was plenty of talent to celebrate at Holdingham Grange as residents, staff, families and friends came together for Holdingham’s Got Talent.
The event welcomed 91 people, with residents, staff and visitors gathering to enjoy ten acts. From singing and magic to a Tommy Cooper tribute and a martial arts demonstration, the programme offered something for everyone.
Hosted by home manager Bex, the show was a lovely opportunity for the Holdingham Grange community to share their talents and enjoy time together.
Taking on the task of choosing the winners were resident judges Pamela and Patricia, deputy manager Rebecca, and residents’ family members Rod and Mac. Flowers were presented to Patricia and Pamela as a thank-you for their part in the event.
First place went to a team of staff and residents for their performance of Lovely Bunch of Coconuts, earning them a trophy, medals and £100. The Mick Jagger band took second place, receiving a trophy, medals and £50, while the Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers act came third, taking home a trophy, medals and £25.
The home’s kitchen team also helped make the occasion special, preparing a generous buffet of curry, lasagne, naan breads and poppadoms, followed by a selection of puddings. Beer, wine, punch and soft drinks rounded off the refreshments.
Above all, Holdingham’s Got Talent was a celebration of the people who make the home such a warm and welcoming place. A heartfelt thank-you goes to every performer, judge, member of staff and visitor who helped make it a day to remember.
