Chicks are the stars of school project

Children at Legsby School have been looking at rearing chicks in a special project.

The school was provided with an incubator and 11 eggs, nine of which hatched and a rota was set up to look after the little chicks.

Each child also kept a chick diary to keep a record of the birds’ progress.

The young birds have now moved on to live with some of the parents, but three of them were brought back for the day to show the children how they had grown.
