De Aston celebrates its high achievers at awards

On what was a very warm last day of term in July, De Aston School in Market Rasen held its annual Lower School Award Ceremony.

This event saw the school gathered to celebrate the achievements of students. Awards were presented for academic achievement, school values and attendance.

Special mention goes to Blake Walton of Year 10, who received the Headteacher's Award for Excellence as the highest achieving pupil in the recent school examinations.

Special mention also goes to Evelyn Bartlett of Year 7, winner of the John Matthews Community Award. This award is in honour and memory of the school’s former Vice Chair of Governors and Mayor of Market Rasen.
