Treat for key workers at Wainfleet care home and Skegness Hospital

Chef Helen Proudley delivered delicious afternoon tea to Wainfleet Care Home and Skegness Hospital.

The former head chef at the Northshore Hotel in Skegness was between jobs when the Covid-19 restrictions changed her plans but she has been busy using her skills to keep carers spirits up with regular deliveries.

"I was about to embark on a new job at the Three Horse Shies at Goulceby but found myself unemployed," she said.

"Baking has helped me cope due to having a couple of health issues.

"First I baked for neighbours, then Skegness Hospital and then the care home at Wainfleet to say 'thank you'.

"My neighbours have helped by giving me bits to bake which I'm very grateful for.

"It's all about saying thank you to all key workers."
