Nickerson cricketers
A few weeks ago, we featured a picture of the Market Rasen Schoolmasters' cricket team, who made it through to the semi-final of the Market Rasen Mail Cup in 1978.
This week, we feature their opponents from that win – the Nickerson cricket side, who lost by just five runs.
Among the Nickerson players, who were based at Rothwell, is Ben Jacob.
Other surnames listed in the batting order were Braithwaite, Martin, Porter, Shannon, Walker and Hooper, with Budden, Palmer, Kerrigan and Stanbridge not batting on the day.
