WEATHER UPDATE: Met Office severe weather warning as icy winds continue to sweep across Lincolnshire

The Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for Lincolnshire for this afternoon (Saturday, November 21).

A statement from the Met Office said: “A swathe of gale force north to northwesterly winds will continue to affect parts of eastern England into this afternoon giving gusts of 40-50 mph inland and locally 60-65 mph on exposed coasts.

“The strongest of the winds should steadily ease from the north and become confined to the extreme southeast by mid afternoon.

“Scattered wintry showers are also likely.

“Please be aware of the likelihood of some difficult driving conditions and possible travel disruption due to gusty winds.”
