On Saturday Grimes scored early but they lost 3-1 to Wealdstone and Grimes said: “We are feeling down right now as we have now lost three home games in a row, which is really disappointing as we want to make this our fortress.

“It's just errors that are costing us at the end of the day.

“We have all put our hands up in the dressing room and we are all dejected.

“So we need to put it right.

“We need to do the ugly side of the game better.”

He added: “There are moments in games and we keep making bad errors at bad times.

“That game could have gone either way. If we'd scored the penalty we could have ended up winning 3-1 or 4-1.

“But they went 2-1 and 3-1 up through errors and all of a sudden you are chasing the game. You can't do that at any level.

“If you make a mistake you dig your heels in and go again, not concede another straight after.

“That third goal just gave them a bit of a cushion.

“I take nothing from scoring if we don't win. I would rather have three points and a clean sheet.

“We are working hard in training and I think it's getting better.

“At times today we were on top of them. It's just moments.

“Our young lads are learning and will make errors – everyone does. We just have to bounce back.

“We know we can create and score. But we are just conceding really sloppy goals at the minute. We have to shut the door and we will win some games.”
