Craig Elliott praised his Boston United side after getting the job done at Bradford Park Avenue.

Dominic Knowles gave the Pilgrims a 45 second lead and Simon Ainge doubled that, only for Nicky Clee to reduce the arrears immediately after.

"I said to the players it's about getting over the line and we've done that," Elliott said as his team bounced back from New Year's Day's defeat to King's Lynn.

"It was a good goal, good movement and that's what you want after a bad performance in the last game, it gave everyone a lift."

Elliott added that Alex Whitte was replaced at half time due to a 'hamstring tweak'.

"We're hoping it's nothing too serious," he said.

"Fortunately, we had Ash Jackson come in who did well."
